Tea Arts & Culture is turning five!

Come join us for a joyful evening to connect and celebrate while raising funds for another year of meaningful work.

As always, the night will be filled with tea-inspired cocktails, delectable food, live music, tea experiences, fun raffles, a silent auction, sake tastings and more. Whether you're new to our cause or have been with us from the start, your support helps us keep cultivating connections through the art of tea.

Save the date, and bring your friends! We can't wait to fill the room with warmth and celebrate this moment together.

Alida Torres & Aidan Scrimgeour

Brooklyn-based duo Alida Torres & Aidan Scrimgeour connected over a shared love for and curiosity about folk music from South America and the Nueva Canción movement. In their reimagining of the repertoire, they aim to capture the spirit of the music — the fierceness of living, care for humanity and commitment to freedom — while incorporating elements of their voices and those of their Brooklyn musical community. In this moment, these songs continue to remind us of the possibilities of love, light and resilience and should be played every night.

Miles Johnston

Miles Johnston is one half of the classical Australian guitarist duo Ziggy and Miles. Miles' performances are known for their “deeply considered musicianship, immaculate care and superlative technique”. The duo's latest album, Sidekick, was featured as one of WQXR’s “Best New Classical Albums of 2023”. Ziggy and Miles are actively involved in community engagement and have a passion for providing education and music to people without access to live performances or high-quality music education. They have collaborated with organisations across Australia and the US including Melbourne Recital Centre, The Juilliard School, and Project: Music Heals Us.

The Brooklyn Nomads

The Brooklyn Nomads is a collective of musicians from different cultural and stylistic backgrounds. With roots in Middle Eastern and Arabic music traditions, the group of musicians is exploring songs from different cultures in new ways and creating a listening experience that captures the joy and energy of our live concerts to make connections between different cultures and their people.

Nizar Gartit

Nizar is a Moroccan culture advocate and the founder of the Women's Museum of Marrakech, the first institution in Morocco and North Africa dedicated to showcasing the history, culture, and creativity of Moroccan women.

His passion for preserving Moroccan heritage goes beyond museum walls. Nizar brings traditional practices to international audiences, notably through Moroccan tea ceremonies he leads in New York City. These gatherings offer a sensory experience rooted in ritual and hospitality, allowing people to connect with Moroccan culture in a deeply personal way.
