Autumn Chai & Flower Bundle Dyeing

Join Takiyah Gray and Chelsea Bravo at Maple Street Community Garden in Brooklyn for an afternoon of tea and creativity.

As the leaves change color and the weather cools, you'll help brew a delicious oat milk chai and learn about the warming spices that make each cup your own. You'll also try flower bundle dyeing, creating a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece to take home.

FREE event! All are welcome!

Meet The Hosts:

Takiyah, or "T" (she/her), is a mindfulness meditation guide and long-time tea lover. Her interests in nature, tea, and community led her to the Tea Arts & Culture Mentorship Program with GreenThumb NYC. She enjoys sharing tea and wellness practices as a way to bring more pause into the day-to-day.

Takiyah is also a Somatic Educator whose work explores mindful awareness of the breath and body as a pathway to freedom. She hosts interactive tea workshops across NYC and offers one-on-one coaching.

Chelsea Bravo has a background in fashion design and textiles. Born in Brooklyn and raised in London, she ran her own independent clothing label for a decade before turning to teaching as an extension of her creative practice. Chelsea is passionate about textile arts and traditional crafts and enjoys sharing her skills and knowledge with others. Over the past couple of years, she has been facilitating community-based workshops where people can connect with themselves, the environment, and each other through textiles, mindfulness, and the art of tea.
